Today we celebrated British food remembering our last vacation in London. Where we went to a pub for Sunday roast.
Well, as we do not have a pub around the corner serving Sunday roast, we had to do that ourselves. The man without a jacket prepared a nice piece of roast beef. As we have a lot of vegetables we made oven roasted veggies and tadaaa – a Yorkshire Pudding. Very easy indeed. And delicious. Everything and all of it. The boys loved the Yorkshire Pudding, next time I will make more. I made one serving 4 according to Delia Smith. The adults liked the vegetables, the boys are a bit picky about that. We had tomatoes, tomatillos, courgette, aubergine, onions and peaches. The peaches go really well with that. The meat was just perfect. Not too red for me 😉 We will certainly do that again. Next time with fish (kid had Scottish salmon in the pub). The best thing is that it is all done in the oven. Once heated nothing else to do.
For tea time without tea we had flapjacks. Delicious. I have to make some. Recipes welcome!
And in the evening Marmite crisps.

Who says there is no good British food?
